In the original Catalcysm, the line of Corvettes was entirely replaced by combining fighters.

I didn't want to do that.

In intro was said Somataaw was exotic fraction with exotic designs and ideas this is why fleet looked like it... By the way nice ideas.

Makes more sense to keep corvettes in than out. I always thought that there was something missing in Cataclysm (like gameplay, balance, and continuity with the rest of the story line), and I really missed my 'vettes. Combo fighters are a great idea. They just cannot replace the real thing.
BTW, is this a gunship / missle 'vette idea?

Nice... clear Vaygr inspirations, looks more like Imperialist ships shortly before Vaygr War.

Very good work here. I really like the design, especially bottom corvette (with X-like wings). Hope to see more of them ^_^

i disliked the strikecraft set up in cataclysm as well

i like these ideas, seeming to draw on both vaygr and taiidan designs
