Description

Though the Japanese and americans were the first to produce the axel- and thus armored infantry- both countries continued onward to develop their own series of axels independant of one another. While the Americans were satisfied to produce general combat models, the Japanese began to lapse back to using smaller tanks and armored behicles. Among them, of course, is the Type-12 Light axel.

Almost regressing back to its roots in experimental prototypes, the Type-12 was the smallest manned axel armor at the time of it's unveiling. Being so small and yet so capable, it didn't take long for the Type-12 to be adopted as police units now that the trade tready ban on weapons exports was lifted during world war three. A civilian version is known as the CW-2 "Walking Suit" And has been powered down for that model. It is also beleived the Type-12R was the inspiration for the smaller Bloc automatic troopers that appeared some years later.

Most western militaries have adopted the type-12 as a light guard and reconisance unit, though the type-12R has been considered for a fast attack role. Pictured here is the Type-12A model adopted for policework.
