From 'Meh' to 'Malevolent'. I think I like the thunderbolt better as a squat little evil imp of a machine than what they've given for the 'Reseen' lineup. Is it me, or did they make most of the reseen designs taller?

Once the battletech redesigns run out I'll be doing Axels again. I'd also like to color these someday...

If you think the reseens are tall, you should see when they put them into MW: DA. The Reseen Thunderbolt there is like a damn skyscraper.

Well, the fluff of the TDR in 3025 said that it was a rather tall machine, so I guess that could explain it.

Other than that, my only issue with this drawing is that it doesn't convey the original feeling the TDR had- a big, tough heavy that you knew at one point was an assault mech' of the highest order. Here, it seems like the Wight from TRO: 3075- i. e. it looks like a heavier light 'mech than anything.

Truely fantasctic. What inspired you to make it digitigrade? I personally liked the old thunderbolt because it was one of the more imposing looking mechs, but I also love the dynamic look of digi legs.

I think because I wanted it to be more unique than it's predecessor. The Thunderbolt was unique only from the waist up... so I fixed it.

Maybe I'm just compensating for Project Phoenix making all the re-designs really tall :\
