Some notes:
Fighter craft are dispatched by a central launch rail and recovered by landing pads on either side of it. Each hangar has a side-door for immediate access when the ship is in dock.
The second mast at the rear of the craft is a long-range FTL communication antenna. Due to the power of the device it has to be pointed away from the command tower to transmit (it is harmful to electronic equipment and living beings).
The four main anti-ship laser turrets have covers on them to protect the lenses. These retract when activated. The missile systems are on turrets (as requested).
Life-pod arrays are located in the superstructure to service the crew there. Crew evacuating in the hangar areas would attend to life pods in the hangars themselves (or launch on shuttles).
Main cargo for support services have doors on either side of the indent into the main hangar.
