The closest to the "final vision" of my Taiidan advanced Battlecruiser.

The first mentioned ship of the class so far is the Ishanii-Kel, named after the hero of an ancient Taiidan legend who challenged a monster savaging the ways of space and time around Taiidan.

The second is the Abaada-Taiidan (In loose translation, the name conceptually translates as "never loosing" "Taiidan". It says the namesake is ever victorious, in the old tounge). It was stationed at the Imperial Capital of Jigoku before the Traditionalists rebelled and seized the ship.

Armaments are (presently):
4x2 Refined Ion Cannons
2x6 Heavy Mass drivers
6x light autocannon (point-defense mounts)

2x subsystem pads
1x subsystem sensor pad

One example of this class managed to fight off a pair of Archangel-class dreadnoughts. The fiction is available for reading on the Relic forums.

Homeworld, Taiidan = Relic Entertainment

Does this thing ever made it to the game? Is it present in any mod? I know it's a part of your fiction and it wasn't intended to be in a game, but I am still wondering if it could eventualy be somewhere. It's very nice BC and it would be interresting to play it.

Someone started to model it, but I don't think it ever got past being simple geometry.

Though during the process I had so many people complain that the cylindrical turrets seemed out of place and unworthy of the design. In my mind, no other design can work, and I won't compromise on that unless I come up with an alternative.

Maybe that fact is what kept the design from being modeled?

I actually like it exactly as it is, the cylindrical turrets seems very realistic to me.
You know, I am toying with the idea to make this piece, to bring it to life in Homeworld 2 (making it to the original HW would be pointless to me), I could model it, texture it, "hod it"... Only problem is that I would need an actual reason to do so and my mod doesn't have any Taiidans and I don't want to make something which I won't ever use, because it would be just a waste of time for me. So it would probably have to be just an abandoned old mighty ship in the middle of the map, waiting to be captured by who come first, and I'm not sure you would like the idea of your ship being used that way.

I don't think the Taiidan would ever allow one of their battlecruisers to go abandoned... especially in my setting, where these brand-new warships are destroyed if they cannot be salvaged. They represent the Taiidan return to Galactic affairs, after all.

That's exactly what I thought. If I can't use it in rearm mod, I won't make it because I don't have time for it. But it's a shame that concept like this hasn't been used in a game, it's beautiful, someone should definitely make it.

Perhaps you could add a Taiidani Faction - much as you are doing with the Kadeshi? It would be nice...

Sadly I don't have time for that as much as I'd like to.
