I never liked the direction Tel was taking with his Taiidan in the Point-Defense-Systems mod- both design-wise and storywise. So to go with my map of the homeworld universe, and my own vision on the universe post HW2, I recreated the Taiidan menace in new forms.

This was the new line of heavy cruisers- based highly on the very sucessful Type 102 CA design of HW1 (Qwaar-Jet, as many forget, was only a Kharak-assigned codename). This was only a rough sketch- I was unable to find a more detailed design to present.

I think she's much more intimidating than the bathtub head.

You've breaked what i loved the most about Homeworld - Simplicity!
No dozen codenames, upgrades with fancy names, and anime style ships that totally don't fit in this game.
It looks more like Jinaam ships from Septerra Core.

The front somehow makes me think of Eva-01 from Neon Genesis Evangelion

i love the design...

(i will model if i have time enough, but i think if you make more sketches of taiidan ships we can make it to a mod???)

So do I, and so do many.

I, too, would like to see this iteration of the Taiidani heavy cruiser see acceptance by Relic and pressed into service in Homeworld 3.

But I have to remember I'm nobody special. I'll give it to them if they want it, but they'd probably hire someone else to make a different design.

Sadly it doesn't sound like they will ever be making anything more in the Homeworld franchise :(
