This has been sitting in my computer for a while, so I thought I'd share.

All three of these series have one theme in common. Can you guess what it is?

Yamato: Earth's Last hope

Galactica: Last of the Battlestars

I don't know jack about the other one......but if Exploring the universe is the norm for these ships.....Shouldn't the TOS U.S.S Enterprise and the TARDIS be on here?

Its obvious. All three Where in there own series "the last hope of there people" Galctica had to lead the survivers of the twelve colonies to the earth. Yamato had to find a device to cleanse the earth of radiation or all would perish. The macross contained the only viable population after the zentraedi decimated the earth.

Macross is a bit pathetic....got lost in its own home solar system, didn't it? The others traveled across the entire galaxy, if not more.

All three series have their merits, all three ships have their highlights, and all three were well loved by their fanbases. Even if their legacies were of questionable quality.

Still, that's not the point...wandering around your own solar system, even though it's probably been mapped out plenty times before, I find that laughable.

Then again, I find spaceships that look like an alligator on skis and a boat laughable as well.

Old comment is old, but the creators of for each one are different. I just felt like replying...

Don't know about Macross, but
1. BSG = Glen A Larson
2. Yamato = Leji Masumato
